Dr. Claire Ferguson, Chiropractor
Halifax native Dr. Claire is delighted to be practicing back in her hometown following the completion of her chiropractic training. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Guelph, earning a Bachelor of Science degree, and went on to graduate summa cum laude from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC).
Throughout her tenure at CMCC, Claire was frequently recognized for her top-tier academic performance and dedication to the field. She was a two-time recipient of the Gilbert H. Young Memorial Scholarship for holding the highest academic standing in her class, and twice received the Council of Nova Scotia College of Chiropractors Scholarship as the top student from Nova Scotia. Upon graduation, she was honoured with the Walter Sturdy Memorial Scholarship for achieving the highest overall academic average across the entire four-year program, alongside the Clinic Achievement Award for earning the highest grade in Year 4.
Claire’s path to chiropractic was driven by a genuine desire to help individuals maintain active and healthy lifestyles. As a long-time equestrian rider and coach, she possesses firsthand insight into biomechanics, balance, and athletic performance. Her patient-centered approach to care is highly collaborative and tailored to the individual, utilizing a combination of joint mobilization and manipulation, soft tissue therapy, integrated needling, and personalized exercise programs. Claire is passionate about empowering her patients to move confidently, whether they are recovering from an acute injury, returning to sport, or pursuing preventative long-term wellness.
When she isn’t treating patients, Claire is often found coaching at the stables, playing pickleball, or catching up with friends and family. As a self-proclaimed foodie, she also loves exploring and discovering new culinary spots across Halifax.
